So far I have concentrated only on 'myhobby'side. But when my daughter asked me to utilise the other half of the title I got a bit scared. Being a talkative lady,I can mesmerise anyone in any topic for any duration of time. But WRITING,OH NO! Gradually I understood her intentions. If I take up writing my blabbering will become less and her poor dad who has already lost 50% of his hearing can retain the remaining 50%. Ha Ha lo ,I am ready to 'eat your minds' with the anecdotes whenever I feel like it.
Recently I got a recipe for healthy soup. I just like to share it with you.
ingredients:1\3 cup potato cubes.
1\2 cup onion cubes
3 cups shredded spinach leaves
1\2tsp ghee
1\2 cup milk
Fry potatoes and onions in ghee for 2 mins. Add the greens and fry till all water evaporates.Add milk and cook on slow flame. Cool it and grind in a mixie. Dilute it to required consistency.serve with salt and pepper. If instead of diluting, add 1 tsp curds with salt and pepper and beat to get mixed, you get a nice DIP for your carrot and cucumber sticks.

Women's "day out"
We housewives once awhile come out and spend some time together forgetting our husbands and kids.Often it is like 'putting the frogs on a balance".Somehow few days back we managed an outing which has rejuvenated us from all our seemingly dull daily chores.Seven likeminded neighbours hired a vehicle and went out to a farm house belonging to our friend with few bags full of goodies.
The farmhouse was in the middle of a coffee estate and we parked the vehicle outside the farm and went to explore the nature. For the first time we saw tender cardomoms. Also there was greenpepper tender and hanging beautifully in bunches on the vines which were surrounding arecanut plants for support.Coffee beans were not yet ripe and we saw many verieties of fruit plants with fruits hanging in abundant.
Every now and then we had cold drinks and fruits to strengthen our limbs for further exploration. Of course as we were not accustomed to walk in such up and down area we had quite a bit of entertainment when one of us lost balance and had a fall.We were stunned when we came across a small factory which makes dinner plates out of arecanut leaves. Those eco friendly plates were very good in quality. After lunch we went to the top of the farmhouse to witness a green canopy of rubber trees. Our friend then took us to the rubber processing factory. There liquid collected from each tree was processed to make thick sheets.
Then we realised that it is time to return and on our way we stopped near a water source to have sometime to play like small kids. Throwing water on eachother, becoming wet and playing in running water was hilight of our trip.
I have written about this trip only to make housewives think about such outings, which they deserve, but no time or inclination.Only after a few days I got a mail from my daughter that she and three of her girlfriends went to a trecking trip on Saturday and stayed in a resort ,lazied a sunday morning and returned on sunday evening. Hats off to them.

Crochet pouch (Bhatuwa)
This synthetic glitter yarn pouch is crocheted to suit all types and colors of your dresses. It is 7" long and 7" wide. This beautiful 'batuwa' can hold all the needed items while going out. It hangs from your wrist and keeps your hands free. Hand wash and flat dry. The two pairs of wooden beads are to open and close. One pair is bit darker than the other pair. When you draw one set of beads the pouch gets closed, and when you pull the other pair it gets opened. There is no lining as the crochet is done in tight stitches. This cute pouch is suitable for all occasions and also idea to gift to your near and dear ones. Here are some more that I made in different color.
